Cellar Door

ABOUT
'Haunting and dreamlike' and 'ferocious and compelling’, Cellar Door are an acoustic roots duo with a contemporary 'anglicana' sound. They have a musical identity that is both raw and soulful, and delicate and stark. Based in Croydon, Cellar Door have played hundreds of gigs as a duo throughout the UK; they captivate and enchant their audiences, be it at a concert hall, festival or backstreet bar. Cellar Door released their debut album Siren Songs in 2010 to excellent reviews, including a review in Acoustic Magazine. FATEA Magazine also chose the track 'Bad Lands' for their showcase compilation.

Cellar Door have collaborated with various artists within Croydon’s grassroots music scene, most recently with Trambeat, and with Dave Sears (see LINKS and COLLABS & ALTER EGOS for more info). After a roller coaster of artistic adventures since Siren Songs was recorded, Cellar Door are bringing their original music off the backburner and back into the spotlight.
“Talented and artistic, Cellar Door are definitely a band to watch. Expect great things.”
